Children’s Climbing Clubs

Want to be a rock climber?

The best way to have fun and learn to climb is to come along to one of our regular Children’s Clubs.

If you’ve done quite a bit of climbing and want to get more serious about it and maybe enter some competitions, check out our Improvers’ Club below.

Children’s Clubs

Our friendly, experienced instructors will provide coaching and teach you all you need to know to start enjoying and improving your climbing. Our clubs provide a great opportunity to meet new friends, have fun, and stay active.

  • How to warm up so you can climb safely
  • Some simple techniques to get you going
  • Fun games and exercises
  • Learn about some of the equipment you will use
  • Learn how to keep other Club members safe

As you get better, you will have the chance to learn more and meet more keen young climbers.

First time climbing?

If your child has never tried climbing before, we ask you book a Club Taster Session before signing up to our Climbing Clubs.

A Club Taster Session allows us to introduce climbing in a quieter, more relaxed environment to see if it is something that your child will enjoy! We can also advise which regular club would be best to join if they do want to do more.

Our 1-hour Club Taster Sessions are held every month. Get in touch to find out more.

Improvers’ Club

Once you’ve progressed through our Climbing Clubs and decide that climbing is ‘your thing’, come and join us at the Improvers’ Club, aimed at older, more experienced youngsters (11-17 years).

  • Continue developing your climbing technique through personal coaching
  • Learn how to train safely and create a training plan
  • Learn how to lead and lead belay
  • Learn about climbing equipment and how to look after it
  • Develop your bouldering techniques
  • Compete at our Climbing Competitions or at other local/national competitions

We will help you become an independent climber, ready to explore what this exciting sport has to offer – indoors and out!
