Competent climber?
If you’re an experienced climber or you’ve visited a couple of other indoor walls, you will need to complete our Registration process before you can climb.
See the section below for more details of what is needed, depending on the type of climbing you want to do.
You will need to allow some extra time to complete this on your first visit to us.



Not climbed before?
We would suggest that you try one of our Beginner’s Taster Sessions.
We will take you through the Registration process and give you an introduction to our climbing centre.
You can learn the basic skills needed to be able to come again as an unsupervised climber.
Register to Climb
Adult Climbing
Bouldering
To register for bouldering access, you must understand how to safely use the bouldering walls.
On your fist visit, you will be required to:
- Watch a safety induction video
- Complete a registration form
- Agree to the conditions of use and rules of the climbing centre
Beginners Courses
If you have never climbed before, we strongly recommend booking a 1 Hour Climbing Taster session.
Refresher Course
If it’s been a while since you last climbed, why not book our 1 Hour Climbing Refresher session to get back up to speed?
Top Rope / Belay
To register to climb on our top rope walls, you will need to register for ‘Top Rope / Belay’ access.
You must be a competent climber and be proficient in the following skills:
- Put on a climbing harness correctly
- Attach a rope to your harness using a suitable climbing knot
- Use a belay device to secure a falling climber and lower a climber from the wall
You will be required to complete a form and answer a few questions correctly before you can register.
Auto Belay
To use the Auto Belay, you must be registered for ‘Top Rope / Belay’ access.
You will be required to watch an Auto Belay induction video or have an induction from a member of our staff before using the Auto Belay for the first time.
Lead Climbing
To register for ‘Lead’ access, you must be competent in the skills required to lead climb safely:
- Confidently make proper use of the in-situ protection.
- Confidently belay a person who is lead climbing.
You will be required to complete a form and answer a few questions correctly before you can register.
Please note:
You must supply your own appropriately rated dynamic rope when lead climbing at the centre. Use of the centre’s top ropes for lead climbing is not permitted.
Youth Climbing
Accompanied Youth Climbers
Under 18’s may use the climbing wall under the supervision of a competent adult climber.
Registration will be required on the first visit to the centre.
Supervising adult climbers must also be registered with the centre, and can supervise a maximum of two children.
Parental Consent
If the supervising adult is not the child’s parent or legal guardian, parental consent must be provided in writing prior to your visit. Please ask the child’s parent / legal guardian to email us.
Experienced Youth Climbers
14 years +
From 14 years and over, we allow experienced teenagers to boulder unsupervised, subject to a competency evaluation and parental consent.
A parent or legal guardian must be present for the competency evaluation.
16 years +
From 16 years and over, climbers can belay and use the top rope walls unsupervised, subject to a competency evaluation and parental consent.

We’re easy to get to and really easy to find, just a few minutes drive from the A40 trunk road.
