Our indoor climbing centre provides high-quality facilities for all ages and abilities.
Built in 1996, the centre offers a range of different climbing areas – artificial walls, natural limestone, bouldering, training room, kids area – enough for both experienced climbers and those new to the sport.
Check out the different areas below and come and join us – we’re open 7 days a week, all year round.




Bouldering
Our ever-expanding bouldering area has 70+ boulder problems using a range of hold styles – traditional crimping to competition classic volumes.
Grades range from VB (great for beginners) to our Project Circuit at V8 and above. Something for everyone from first-time climber to experienced boulderers.
Problems are changed frequently by our staff to keep our regular visitors coming back for more!

Roped Climbing
Our roped climbing is spread over 3 distinct areas:
– the Main Wall, The Pit and our Kids’ Area.
The climbing is a mix of top-rope and lead climbs and an Auto-belay. There are more than 50 routes, covering steep slabs, vertical featured walls and overhangs.
Grades are from beginner-friendly jug lines to more advanced test pieces, and are changed frequently by our staff.
Roped climbing area facts
- The Pit is the only indoor natural limestone climbing wall in Wales – great for practice if you’re planning on venturing outside!
- Our Kids’ Area includes ‘Dudley’ the Welsh dragon, ‘Phil’ the Dinosaur and a short, easy slab for first-timers
- Easy colour-coded grading system to measure your own performance
- You’ll need to bring your own rope if you want to lead climb
- Belay weights available




Training Area 💪💪
Designed more for experienced climbers, we have a range of different training tools for those wanting to improve their strength, endurance and technique.

We have a range of courses to suit all abilities and ages, run by our instructors and a local Mountain Training provider.
- Beginner taster session if you want to have a go

Climbing Clubs
Our climbing clubs are very popular for children from 6 years and over.
We encourage children to improve and progress at their own pace, keeping sessions fun and friendly.
Club members work in small groups of a similar ability, giving them the opportunity to climb with different children.

Base Camp Cafe
All this climbing needs energy – refuel in our Base Camp Cafe, it’s right next to the climbing areas!
Open daily until 4.30pm for light meals, hot and cold drinks and snacks.
A selection of hot drinks and cakes/snacks are available during the evening from our Reception desk.

We allow self-instructed groups to use the climbing areas. Please contact us to check out the requirements for use.
Specialist groups have used the centre for cave training, mountain rescue training, military groups, inclusive groups.
