Post-16
Building skills for the future
Post-16 education provides opportunities for young people to discover what they want to do as a career and how they want to be as an adult.
An outdoor activity residential at Post-16 level can help in developing skills that will be important in employment:
- Developing personal skills, including communication, leadership and taking responsibility
- Encouraging creativity and teamwork in approaching problems
- Reminding students of the value of physical activity to boost energy levels for work and daily life
- Introducing students to the possibility of different career paths
At Llangorse Multi Activity Centre, we pride ourselves on creating opportunities for Post-16 students to continue their journey into working life with a broad range of life skills.
We can work with Tutors on curriculum elements, such as Adventurous Activities in BTEC Public Services and GCSE/A Level PE.
We are based in the heart of Brecon Beacons National Park in mid-Wales. Lying at the foot of the Black Mountains, we have impressive views across Llangorse Lake to the peaks of Pen y Fan and Corn Du in the central Brecon Beacons.
Even our location can help in broadening your students’ horizons!
Let us introduce you to our Post-16 Packages…
Looking forward, All Inclusive
Our residential packages are all-inclusive but by no means standard!
Each package includes Accommodation, Catering and a set number of Activity Sessions

Activity Sessions
We tailor the selection of activities in your programme with you – creating opportunities for the learning outcomes that you are looking for.
Whether it’s rock climbing or horse riding, archery or high ropes, hill walking or caving, we have activities to suit all ages and abilities.
Our range of sample programmes can be used as a starting point or as an ‘off the shelf’ package.

Accommodation
Even our accommodation can play a part in your visit! We have a range of exciting options to match your needs and your budget:
A Tipi Village nestled in the grounds, with spectacular views, for the summer months
Bunkhouse Accommodation in a centuries old farmhouse offering two separate units, warm and comfortable all year round
Camping and Camping Pods to really get close to nature, or as a cheaper alternative

Catering
We provide a full catering service from our Base Camp Cafe for the duration of your visit.
A busy activity programme needs energy and our Catering Team make meals to satisfy hungry students
We will cater for special dietary requirements too.

Mix & Match
If you have very specific requirements for your visit, we may suggest a Mix & Match approach, where we can tailor every aspect and provide you with a quotation.
